Day 1 and 2

Two nights at Wolwedans Dunes Camp on Full Board & Activities basis.

Arrival at Hosea Kutako (Windhoek International) airport, where you collect your rental vehicle. Once you have sorted out all the formalities for your vehicle, travel south. Today you travel through some of Namibia’s most spectacular sceneries. Vast expanses of yellow savannah are dotted with bushes and solitary Camelthorn trees. Distant mountain ranges take on different nuances of purple and blue as the day progresses.

Wolwedans, which takes its name from the African - "where the wolves dance", is situated in the heart of NamibRand Nature Reserve, just south of Sossusvlei. Nestled amidst red dunes and set against a backdrop of unparalleled beauty, Wolwedans provides the perfect base from which to explore vast stretches of awe-inspiring nature and learn about an exciting variety of desert creatures.

Day 3

Overnight at Kulala Desert Lodge on a full board basis including activities.

Your destination is the Kulala Desert Lodge. Situated south of the Sesriem gate at Sossusvlei, lies the private 21 000 hectare Kulala Wilderness Reserve, the closest reserve to Sossusvlei itself. Kulala Desert Lodge is in prime location on the western side of the reserve. It offers magnificent dune scenery to the west and rugged Namib mountainous escarpment to the north and east with grassy plains and “fairy circles” filling the space in between.

Day 4

Overnight stay at Olive Grove Guesthouse - bed & breakfast.

Return to Windhoek, the capital city of Namibia. Windhoek is a city of contrasts where modern skyscrapers blend with historic buildings dating from the turn of the century. Several buildings from the German colonial era have been preserved and restored to fulfill useful functions in the community today. Some of the sights you will see in the city are the Ride Memorial, the Old German Fort, the Parliament Building (also known as the “Ink Place”), the Lutheran Church, the original Railway Station and many more.

Day 5 and 6

Two nights at Erongo Wilderness Lodge on a Full Board & Activities basis.

Just outside Omaruru in central Namibia is the Erongo Wilderness Lodge. The lodge is a secluded getaway, surrounded by huge boulders and pristine Namibian veld. The ten luxury tented chalets with overhanging thatched roofs are built on stilts, with the idea of disturbing the environment as little as possible. The chalets, secluded among the rocks, boulders and vegetation, are accessed by a system of wooden walkways.

The restaurant and bar at Erongo Wilderness Lodge are situated on a rocky outcrop from which the floodlit waterhole can be viewed. The lodges stunning recreational area offers an elevated pool deck which is also used for sundowners. Wildlife in the area include kudu, oryx, eland, mountain zebra, springbok and steenbok. The lodge offers guided walks and drives which will give you ample opportunity to take in the magnificent surroundings. In addition, there are a number of tracks you can explore at your leisure with a trail map. A popular afternoon activity is the short drive to see the pristine Bushman paintings at Paula's cave.

Day 7 and 8

Two nights at Mowani Mountain Camp in Standard Tents on a Full Board & Activities basis.

Experience the Damaraland highlands with their impressive landscape and ragged valleys, as well as rock engravings, paintings, the Burnt Mountain, Organ Pipes and Petrified Forest.

Mowani Mountain Camp is characterised by its thatched dome-shaped structures which echo the shape of the granite boulders amongst which they are built. Between the Ugab and Huab Rivers in Southern Damaraland lies a vast and unspoilt wilderness. This area boasts magnificent desert scenery, fascinating geological formations, archaeological sites and a unique variety of desert fauna and flora. It's also the Southernmost roaming ground for the rare black rhino and desert elephant. Mowani is taken from the word M'Wane, meaning "Place of God", and it is here, that you will find the true meaning of peace and tranquility. Mowani Mountain Camp nestles amongst the boulders of this beautiful area on a high spot commanding distant views over the ancient landscape.

Day 9

Overnight stay in the Premier Chalets at the Okaukuejo Restcamp on dinner, bed & breakfast basis.

Leaving Damaraland, travel directly to Kamanjab and then follow the tar road to Okaukuejo inside the Etosha National Park. At the heart of this National Park is the Etosha Pan, a vast dry shallow depression. Perennial springs feed the waterholes along the southern verge, which attract a myriad of animal species.

Day 10 and 11

Two nights at Mushara Outpost on a dinner, bed & breakfast basis.

You travel east through Etosha via Fort Namutoni to Mushara, where you spend one night. En route, you stop at the numerous perennial springs found along the edge of the salt pan in search of Lion, Leopard, Elephant and Black Rhino.

Mushara Outpost is the latest addition to The Mushara Collection of exquisite accommodation. The Outpost accommodates 16 guests in custom made tents built from wood and canvas which are nestled on the banks of an ancient dry river bed known to the locals as an ‘omaramba’. Each tent is set on a wooden deck a meter and a half above the ground, providing a different perspective of the bush. Whether you enjoy the privacy of your veranda or the comfort of your tent, the tranquillity of the bush is ever present. The Mushara Outpost is all about old fashioned hospitality with warm, friendly and personalized service on the door step to the magical Etosha National Park.

In the early evening a camp fire is lit and guests can enjoy the bush TV and a chat with fellow guests. Dinner is a relaxed affair under the stars, whilst breakfast and lunch are served in house and on the vast veranda. The days can be spent absorbing the peaceful atmosphere of your surroundings at The Outpost or join a guided drive into the Etosha National Park.

Day 12

Overnight at Divava Okavango Lodge & Spa - dinner, bed & breakfast.

Your journey takes you via Grootfontein through the Kavango Region and further on into the Caprivi. Your destination for today is Divava Okavango Lodge & Spa, this luxury lodge is located amongst majestic trees on the banks of the Okavango River a few hundred metres from Popa Falls. It is fondly referred to by the locals as Paradishi Ghomumbiru; (Little Paradise).

The Lodge offers an exquisite view over the Okavango River with excellent opportunities for bird watching. Divava is only 14km’s from the Mahango Game Reserve, which is celebrated for it’s abundance of game species such as elephant, buffalo, sable and roan antelope, bushbuck, reedbuck and tsessebe.

Divava Okavango Lodge and Spa offers 20 luxurious chalets, a bush bar, restaurant, swimming pool and a viewing deck overlooking the Okavango River. Boat cruises to the Popa Falls to view hippo and crocodiles and game-viewing trips to the Mahango Game Reserve.

Day 13 and 14

Two nights at Lianshulu Lodge on fullboard plus activities basis.

Heading east for the Mudumu National Park and Lianshulu Lodge, situated on the banks of the Kwando River inside the Mudumu National Park. The area is a lush wilderness of riverine forest, marsh and open woodland, providing a home to an abundance of wildlife. Individually furnished, tiled, wood and thatched en-suite chalets overlook the Kwando River and its flood plains.

Your daily activities include nature drives, guided walks, boat excursions, bird watching, night drives and an optional visit to a traditional Caprivi village with links to the lodge. The Mudumu National Park is big game territory and wildlife likely to be encountered includes elephant, buffalo, lion, cheetah, roan antelope, kudu, impala and Burchell’s zebra. South of Lianshulu the Kwando River breaks up into a labyrinth of channels to form the Linyanti Swamp. This is an area more closely related to the wetlands of Botswana than the dry expanses of Namibia.

Day 15

After a leisurely breakfast overlooking the lagoon you will be transferred to Lianshulu’s airstrip before boarding your charter (approx 3.5 hours) flight to Windhoek. Your rental car stays at the lodge.
