03.05.08 Swakopmund - Pension a la Mer
After an early rise and drive into Sossusvlei, you will get the chance to climb ‘Big Daddy’, the highest dune in the Africa. On returning to the lodge you will experience one of the most exhilarating flights in Namibia, crossing the Namib dune sea and up the Skeleton Coast to Swakopmund.
Swakopmund is Namibia’s coastal resort and home to a massive variety of activities including desert quad-biking, coastal cruises, scenic flights and curio shops. Easily the best place to see some of Namibia’s Fur Seals, dolphins, flamingos and the odd whale. This afternoon you can choose to relax and explore the town or quad bike in the dunes for 1 hour.
Dinner will be at The Tug – one of the best restaurants in Swakopmund.
04.05.08 Erongo Wilderness Lodge for lunch and inspection, followed by camping in the Erongo region.
The Erongo’s are Namibia’s walking and climbing playground. This is one of the best chances to leave the vehicle behind and set out on foot to discover remarkable geological formations, San rock art and enjoy the best bird-watching in Central Namibia. You will have a relaxed lunch at the lodge and a property tour before heading out to sample a night under the stars.
Wild camping in Namibia is an opportunity not to be missed. You will receive a taste of what you can expect if booking a Namibia Tracks and Trails mobile safari. This is fully supported camping, with a support team to build and break-down the camp.
05.05.08. Etosha National Park - Okaukuejo
Etosha is a classic stop for wildlife fans and one of the most popular destinations in Namibia. A collection of waterholes spread along the southern edge of the vast Etosha pan attract predator and prey both day and night. If you don’t have time to visit the rugged Kunene Region or the lush Caprivi Strip, then Etosha is a vital stop for game viewing.
The night will be spent at Namibia Wildlife Resorts’ Okaukuejo resort in chalets.
06.05.08 Mushara Outpost
The latest addition to the family-managed Mushara Collection is a stylish 16 bed camp located on a private reserve just 10 minutes from the National Park.
