Interested in Representation?
Collectively we have over 45 years experience guiding safaris, managing luxury safari lodges and safari concession general management, working with the international travel trade throughout. We understand the operational side of the travel business and believe this is crucial for effective representation of isolated properties and expeditions. Ben has guided thousands of travellers including travel trade professionals allowing him to build a solid understanding of what interests and motivates both. We have a further nine years of work experience within the marketing and advertising industry.
Generally we work with properties that want long term representation in the UK market and as a rule, this is the most effective route to growing your business. If you do not see yourself committing to years of co-operative effort, then ask us about the Northern Exposure 'Launch Pad' option.
In brief, Northern Exposure offers your business a route to:
Correctly establish your business whilst developing and maintaining product awareness for you in the European market.
Build practical relationships with agents, operators, the media, tourism boards and related PR agencies.
Ensure that travel trade professionals have your latest marketing materials, rates and the knowledge to use them properly.
Provide a satellite office for your company which can easily be contacted by interested parties.
Organise and promote travel trade familiarization trips.
Organise UK marketing tours for your own staff.
Assist with the development of your marketing materials for use in the European market.
Media Publicity; Northern Exposure has arranged coverage for clients in Conde Nast Traveller, CNN Traveller, Sublime Magazine, The Independent Traveller, Luxury Travel, Real Travel Magazine, The Financial Times, Geographical Magazine, Africa Geographic, Tatler Magazine, Food and Travel Magazine, Travel Africa, The Evening Standard, Hello! Magazine, Saga Magazine, You and Your Wedding Travel Edition, Trip Magazine, Night and Day Magazine, Travel Trade Gazette, Grazia and Glamour Magazine.
Northern Exposure has made the choice to represent only a small number of clients for the simple reason that to remain effective, we must have excellent product knowledge, make time for a genuine joint marketing effort and not grow beyond the realms of specialization.
There is no better way to gain an edge on competition than having immediate personal access to the travel companies controlling potential clients. Northern Exposure is driven by a great passion for the natural world and is ideally located to promote your company in an increasingly competitive European market.
'If anyone ever asks for a good representation company I always say you and one of the main reasons is that you keep us so up to date with information and are always reminding us about your clients. Basically, I believe that lodges who sign on with you can consider it money well spent.'
'Ben has been extremely helpful during the years I have known him professionally. He continually provides us with excellent information about the products/companies he represents. The nature of our business requires us to be able to provide first class, up to date information to our clients and this is exactly what we get from Ben. He is enthusiastic and knowledgeable and always happy to help with training, product updates etc'
